The Weepies

Sirens

by The Weepies
The Weepies

Biography:

The Weepies is an American indie pop-folk duo of married singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. The duo began making music together in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2001.

In 2006, The Weepies big label debut Say I Am You came out on Nettwerk Records. After an initial hard-scrabble tour in their compact car as a duo, Deb Talan & Steve Tannen’s music appeared in more than a dozen TV shows, as well as several major motion pictures.

Their iTunes sales topped the folk charts in eight countries.

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

This is my interpretation of the chords of this beautiful Weepies song. This tab contains two
versions. One in standard tuning and one in open D tuning. The standard one works, but I think the
open D one is closer to the way Deb plays it live.

OPEN D TUNING
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------__
After watching some live videos I noticed Deb doesn't use the standard tuning I did in my other tab.
Even though I still think that tab works I decided to upload an alternate version in open D tuning.
The song contains 2 basic chord shapes that I will call the major and minor shapes for simplicity.
The actual chord names are much more complicated but I feel using them will only make the tab unclear.
All chord shapes are relative to capo.

Tuning: Open D (DADF#AD)
Capo on 3.
Strumming pattern: dd/udu
[Chords]
D: 000000
F#m: 440300
G: 550500
A: 770700
Gm: 550400
Em: 220100
Bm: 990800
Aadd11: 770800
