Hello Trouble

by Ernest Tubb
Ernest Tubb

Biography:

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version. Another well-known Tubb hit was "Waltz Across Texas" (1965)

Woke up this morning happy as could be

G7 C
Look out my window what did I see

F C
Walking up my sidewalk just as plain as day

G7
Here comes trouble that I never thought I'd

C
see when you went away

F C
Well hello trouble come on in

G7 C
Talk about your heartaches where the world you been

F C Am
I ain't had the miseries since you've been gone

F G7 C
Hello trouble trouble trouble welcome home

F C
I'll make a pot of coffee let you rest your shoes

G7 C
And you can tell me those sweet lies and I'll listen to you

F C
Well it's just a little part of the life we live

But I'd rather have a little bit of trouble

G7 C
Than to never know the love you give

F C
Well hello trouble come on in

G7 C
Talk about your heartaches where the world you been

F C Am
I ain't had the miseries since you've been gone

F G7 C
Hello trouble trouble trouble welcome home
