by Whiskeytown
Whiskeytown

Biography:

Whiskeytown was an alt-country band from Raleigh, North Carolina founded in 1994 and fronted by Ryan Adams along with violinist Caitlin Cary. The band produced a number of albums before ultimately parting ways in 2000.

Other members of the group included guitarists Mike Daly and Phil Wandscher, bassist Steve Grothmann and drummer Skillet Gilmore.

Adams and Cary have publicly talked of reuniting Whiskeytown on multiple occasions, as recently as 2005, but as of yet, nothing new has materialized.

Sittin' Around (a.k.a. Bet You'd Want Me To)
Forever Valentine

Capo 5th fret chords are C, some kind of augmented F not sure exactly what it’s
called, and G and bar chord F . the augmented f is played with the index finger on
first fret low E second fret g string and 1st fret b string. hope this helps.

C
Well, I’ve been sittin’ around and wondering
F
Wondering what I should do
C
Got nighttime coming from the down the street
F
My daylight’s turning blue
G
And I can’t think of anything
F
Anything to say to you
G
And I bet if you could wish for anything
F
I bet you’d want me to
G C
Yeah, you’d want me to
C
Well, I’ve been sittin’ around and mending things
F
Threading the needle and smoke through the spool
C
And I’ve been sittin’ around pretending things
F
Pretending things were cool
G
And I can’t think of anything
F
Anything to say to you
G
And I bet if you could wish for anything
F
I bet you’d want me to
G C
Yeah, you’d want me to
C
Well, I’ve been sittin’ around and wondering
F
Wondering what I should do
C
Got daytime coming from the down the street
F
My nighttime’s turning blue
