Rab Noakes - Eat Neuk Misfortune

CAPO: 2nd Fret

[INTRO:] G C G C G C G C

[VERSE 1:]
G F C G
I chased a dream all day__, watching it fly in the air____
F C G
I chased it clean away__, and I can't find it anywhere____
C G
I never saw one familiar face____
C G
And I'm wondering just what's wrong with this place____

[VERSE 2:]
F C G
I wandered into the East on early closing day____
F C G
Looking for the ones who decided that they would stay____
C G
All of my friends should be here soon____
C G C
But I'm tired of travelling and my piano's out of tune____

[BRIDGE:]
G C
I don't know why I'm here or what I expect to find___
D
Maybe I'm looking for something that I might have left behind

[VERSE 3:]
G F C G
I chased a dream all day__, watching it fly in the air____
F C G
I chased it clean away__, and I can't find it anywhere____
C G
I never saw one familiar face____
C G
And I'm wondering just what's wrong with this place____

[VERSE 4:]
F C G
Standing on the Main Road, take in the view of the bay____
F C G
Watching where the river flows, and the sea, it takes it away____
C G
Watching a fisherman casting his line____
C G C
And the paper mill men working out their time____

[BRIDGE:]
G C
I think I'll have to go and write her a letter____
D
Or maybe I'll telephone, although yesterday would have been a whole lot better

[VERSE 5:]
G F C G
I chased a dream all day__, watching it fly in the air____
F C G
I chased it clean away__, I've been looking for it everywhere____
C G
All of my friends should be here soon____
C G
But I'm tired of travelling and my piano's out of tune____

[OUTRO:] G C G C G C G
