[VERSE 1]
Dsus2 G
The sun comes up with promise and my eyes burn open wide
C G Dsus2
And the sting compounds the torture from the vacant hole inside
G
My conscious recollection of the past events all seem
C G Dsus2
To verify the emotion that now envelops me

[CHORUS]
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh dogged as a drone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh stagnant as the stone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh weathered and alone
D Dsus4 G D Dsus4 D
Living on the fault line

[VERSE 2]
Dsus2 G
There's no one here to listen, there's always room for more
C G C G D
They pretend to give you your say before they slam the door
Dsus2 D Dsus2
There's very little patience and very little love
C G C G D
There's just your constant puzzlement for what you're guilty of

[CHORUS]
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh dogged as a drone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh stagnant as the stone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh weathered and alone
D Dsus4 G D
Living on the fault line

[VERSE 3]
D G
No one need deliver me from such a familiar place
C G Dsus2
I've come to terms and work in this ribald downtrodden state
G
It's subliminal friction under a kind veneer
C G D
And a form of cold injustice that keeps me stationed here

[CHORUS]
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh dogged as a drone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh stagnant as the stone
C G/B G F D
Ohhhh hoooh weathered and alone
D Dsus4 G D
Living on the fault line
D Dsus4 G D
Living on the fault line
D Dsus4 G D
Living on the fault line
