Biografia:
Mazzy Star foi uma banda dream pop / alternativa dos EUA, formada em 1989 a partir das cinzas da banda Opal, que era uma colaboração do guitarrista David Roback (da banda paisley underground dos anos 80 Rain Parade) e da baixista Kendra Smith (dos Dream Syndicate).
Mais tarde, juntou-se-lhes Hope Sandoval, amiga de Smith, como vocalista, e Kendra Smith deixou a banda.
Os Mazzy Star são provavelmente mais conhecidos pela canção Fade Into You
