Biografia:
Soft Cell é uma dupla da Inglaterra formada por Marc Almond (voz) e David Ball (sintetizadores) durante o começo da década de 1980. As canções do grupo frequentemente enfocavam o amor e o romance, assim como o lado sombrio da vida, com assuntos tal como perversão, transsexualidade, drogas e assassinatos. A dupla teve um hit mundial em 1981, com uma versão cover da canção "Tainted Love".
Eles se tornaram o protótipo de grupo de synthpop.
