Biografia:
A carreira dos Killing Joke começou como a de qualquer banda da época: casualmente. Paul Ferguson era baterista dos Matt Stagger Band quando encontrou Jaz Coleman, ex-teclista do mesmo grupo, por acidente, tempos depois.
Juntos, resolveram formar uma banda com o Youth (baixista) e com Geordie (guitarrista). Nascia o Killing Joke.
Em 1979 fundaram uma label própria, Malicious Damage, e em outubro do mesmo ano lançam o primeiro LP, Nervous System.
