Biografia:
The Pointer Sisters é um grupo de música pop e R&B originário de Oakland que fez sucesso durante as décadas de 1970 e 1980. Durante quarenta anos de existência, o grupo gravou canções dos mais variados gêneros, tais como disco, jazz, bebop, country, soul, funk, dance, new wave e rock.
O grupo se iniciou em 1969, quando as irmãs June e Bonnie Pointer começaram a se apresentar, sem contrato assinado com qualquer gravadora, como a dupla Pointers Pair.
