Biografia:
W.A.S.P. é uma banda de heavy metal da Califórnia, Estados Unidos. A banda surgiu no início dos anos 1980, mais precisamente em 1982, tendo como fundador o vocalista Blackie Lawless.
O acronimo "W.A.S.P." é uma das maiores polêmicas em torno da banda, que em inglês é entendido como "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant", que significa "Branco, Anglo-Saxão e Protestante", foi reinterpretado pelos membros do grupo para que significasse "We Are Sexual Perverts", que traduzindo para o português significa "Nós somos pervertidos sexuais".
