Biografia:
Paralelamente aos Faith No More, Mike Patton tocava com Mr. Bungle, uma banda formada nos tempos de colégio com seus amigos Trey Spruance e Trevor Dunn. As bandas eram bem diferentes pois enquanto o Faith No More seguia um estilo criativo dentro do rock and roll, o Mr. Bungle rompia a barreira do gênero e misturava elementos de diversos estilos, como música tradicional cigana, psicodelismo, jazz, entre muitos outros estilos.Mas as duas bandas acabaram em meados do ano 2000, e Patton começou um trabalho frenético com inúmeras bandas.
