Biografía:
John Stephen Sudduth, aka Mikky Ekko, nació en Shreveport, Louisiana, hijo de un director de la planta de alquitrán. Alrededor de 7 años de edad su padre se convirtió en un predicador y se trasladó con la familia a Mississippi, moviéndose con frecuencia de pueblo a pueblo. Rodeado por gospel, la pobreza y el pasado del sur profundo, las raíces de su propia música comenzaron a tomar forma.
