Sex Gang Children fue una banda pionera del rock gótico que se formó en Gran Bretaña a principios de los '80. Era uina banda muy teatral, cuyas características más sobresalientes eran un bajo potente, percusión tribal, rápidos cambios de climas, un sonido retro que se adelantó en varios años al nacimiento del "dark cabaret" como género y uno más de los varios cantantes góticos que hicieron escuela con su dramático tono vocal.
