Biografía:
Savatage es una banda de heavy metal progresivo fundada por los hermanos Jon y Criss Oliva en 1979. La banda es conocida por grabar varios albumes conceptuales. Aunque fueron conocidos principalmente como banda de metal progesivo, sus origenes se acercan más al heavy metal clásico y al power metal, sobretodo en su album de debut "Sirens". El guitarrista Criss Oliva falleció en un accidente automovilístico el 17 de octubre de 1993.
La banda ha estado inactiva desde que lanzaron su último album en 2001
