Willie Nile nació en Buffalo, Nueva York, en 1949. En los 70 se trasladó a Nueva York tras doctorarse en Filosofía y en Literatura Inglesa en la Universidad de Nueva York en Buffalo. “Era un poeta” recuerda. “Leía a Keats, Sheiley, Blake, Whitman y Rimbaud; entonces descubrí a Ginsberg, Corso y todos los poetas de la generación beat”.
