Hey guys,

I put this together and figured I'd share it cause these guys are awesome and no where
near popular enough. I saw them live opening for Frank Turner a couple weeks ago and was
blown away.

There's a three chord progression heading into the chorus that I have yet to sound out,
if you've got it go ahead and share it.

These are the chords but most of the song is a picked variation of this, listen to
figure out timing.

Also, the lyrics are as close as I could figure out, might not be 100% but it's close.

As for the chords, I think it sounds best using bar chords for Bm, G, A, and just a
regular open D.

Edit: Wow never noticed how difficult they make it to format these, the chords are in
the right order, just play along with the song.

First Verse

D Bm
The night we said that we had won at life,

G A
We were high as fucking kites, above the city,

D
No ones ever looked as pretty as when you turned to walk away

Bm
Had to silence my addiction, my inherent invincibility

G
But we all learn from and yearn for what we had,

A
In the guts of the glory days,

D Bm
Look back and be nostalgic, to blanket our current fears,

G A
I look death in the eye once a week, For a couple of years

Chorus

G D
Come on teach me self control, Come on tell we what to say x2

Bm A G
And I dont think that I could make anyone feel like this

D Bm
Dont think I could make anyone feel like this

A D
Dont think I could make anyone feel this shit

Verse Two

D Bm
My formative years I got as drunk as anyone

G
And I wonder how that will affect me,

A
Now that those years have been and gone,

D Bm
My stagnant half form, my mind malnourished and my bones near breaking,

G
Why does everyone come up like this

A
Never giving, always taking

D Bm
The issues that we let cloud our heads to distract ourselves from how fucked we truly are

G
Passion can be pointless if it’s all for passion sake
A
Thank everything I found else my life, woulda been a complete waste

Chorus

G D
Come on teach me self control, Come on tell we what to say x2

Bm A G
And I dont think that I could make anyone feel like this

D Bm
Dont think that I could make anyone feel like this

A G
Dont think that I could make anyone feel this shit

Bridge

G D G
These dreams unfamiliar but sincere,

D G
Let myself disappear in the warmth of the back seat

D G
Press my knees into the fake sheepskin

D
Trying to pick who next to run away with

Bm
Cause Im killing my relationships

G
But trying to keep a lid on it

A
I wont survive in happiness

I want to be in love again

Chorus

G D A G A D
Come on teach me self control, Come on tell we what to say x2

Bm A G
And I dont think that I could make anyone feel like this

D Bm
Dont think I could make anyone feel like this

A D
Dont think I could make anyone feel this shit
