I've made this easy to play/ sing to so if the accuracy is not spot on I apologise and welcome any
constructive criticism :) I just found that there were no alternative tabs out there for this song
which I really like so I thought I would share.

I play this on Capo 3 but it dependant on what suits your voice, I hope this helps a bunch of people :)

Em D
It hasn't rained hard for the better part of seven months
C G
Everyone's listening
Em D
All I see ahead of me are glistening lights
C G
This city stays up at night
Em D C G
Droning along like a dissonant song by an amateur symphony
Em D C
How come I can only tell you I love you when you're sleeping in the passenger
D
seat?

G Em
And all the fast cars with the broken headlights
C D
Run the red lights in the canyon
G Em
But I can taste it, the rain is coming
C D
To clear the air over Los Angeles

Em D
Maybe it'll bring the hillside down
C G
Maybe it'll flood the streets
Em D
Maybe when I tell you that I love you forever
C G
I'm gonna make a fool of me
Em D
But I've got the windows down, the heater on my feet
C G
And the skies are opening
Em D C
It's gonna come pouring down it's gonna come pouring out I'm gonna say
D
everything

G Em
And all the fast cars with the broken headlights
C D
Run the red lights in the canyon
G Em
But I can taste it, the rain is coming
C D
To clear the air over Los Angeles

C G
The road is winding and it's barely lit
Em Am
You never know how far you're really gonna get
C Em D
But when you live here you just learn to get used to it

G Em
And all the fast cars and the broken headlights
C D
And running red lights in the canyon
G Em
Now it's raining, the haze is drowning
C D
The air is clear over Los Angeles
