Biografía:
Jon Jay Christopher Smith (Helsingborg, Suecia, 29 de abril de 1981), es una cantante sueco y un guitarrista de ascendencia Inglesa. Ganó el concurso sueco Idol 2010, superando a Minnah Karlsson el 10 de diciembre de 2010 en la final celebrada en el Ericsson Globo theate. Antes de participar en el concurso sueco Idol 2010, Jay Smith formó parte de la banda Von Benzo, con la que ya había lanzado un álbum.
Durante su etapa en el concurso Idol 2010, creó polémica anunciando que había fumado marihuana en algún momento durante el concurso.
