[Intro]
B G#m E B G#m

[Verse 1]
E B
Am I an agitator?
F#
For not thinking it's cool
B
Some were born to suffer,
E G#m
While some were born to rule
G#m
Does that make me a traitor
E B
Before you toss that word around
E B F#
Please understand that I love this land of mine

[Pre-Chorus]
E
And ya, it's true God ain't my thing
B F#
But if He was I'd rather sing
E
For all of the refugees
B F#
Perishing in foreign seas
E
Thoses bodies washed upon the shores
Bm F#
Were fleeing our state sponsored wars
E
And our leader sees nothing wrong
B F#
So I wrote him a brand new song,

[Chorus]
E B
That goes, God save the hungry
G#m
God save the poor
E B
God save those desperate souls
F# G#m
Whose lives were torn apart by war
B
God save the homeless
F# G#m
And those with dis-a-bilities
E B
And all the other targets of
F# G#m
This heartless ideology
B
And there's a long and shameful list
F# G#m
Of folks we need God to assist
B F#
But those who sleep in palaces at night
E B
I think they're doing alright

[Instrumental]
B G#m B G#m

[Verse 2]
E B
And Britain could be greater
F#
If it had fairness at it's heart
B
Oh, this nation altogether
E B
is more than the sum of it's parts
G#m
But they'll call you a traitor
B
For even daring to believe.
E B F#
A slight of hand from those who bleed this land dry

[Pre-Chorus]
E
And ya, it's true God ain't my thing
B F#
But if He was I'd rather sing
E
For all of the refugees
B F#
Perishing in foreign seas
E
Thoses bodies washed upon the shores
B F#
For fleeing our state sponsored wars
E
And our leader sleeps sound at night
B F#
'Cause he's got all the lyrics right

[Chorus]
E B
Well, God save the hungry
F# G#m
God save the poor
E B
God save those desperate souls
F# G#m
Whose lives were torn apart by war
G#m
God save the homeless
F# G#m
And those with dis-a-bilities
E B
And all the other targets of
F# G#m
This heartless ideology
B
And there's a long and shameful list
F# G#m
Of folks we need God to assit
E B F#
But those who sleep in palaces at night
G#m F# E
I think they're doing alright
G#m F# E
I think they're doing alright

[Verse 3]
F#
So give me a song,
G#m
And thoe I'm sticking my throat
B F#
If you agree the only power we should respect
E F#
Is that come from a vote
G#m
So give me a song,
G#m
that won't stick in my throat
B E B F#
To see our millionaire politicians say
E
We're all in the same boat

[Pre-Chorus]
E
And ya, it's true God ain't my thing
B F#
But if He was I'd rather sing
E
For all of the refugees
B F#
Perishing in foreign seas
E B
Thoses bodies washed upon the shores
F#
For fleeing our state sponsored wars
E B
And our leader sees nothing wrong
F#
So raise your voices sing along

[Chorus]
G#m E B
Yae, God save the hungry
F# G#m
And God save the poor
B
God save those desperate souls
F# G#m
Whose lives were torn apart by war
B
God save the homeless
F# G#m
And those with dis-a-bilities
F# E B
And all the other targets of
F# G#m
This Tory ideology
B
And my gratitude to all the brave
F# G#m
soldiers spinnin' in their grave
F# B F#
To see the Eton Mess that Dave made
G#m
Of the sacrifice they gave
B
To tear apart the welfare state
F# G#m
And all that ever made Britain great
B F#
While those who sleep in palaces tonight
E B G#m
Yae, they're still doing alright
B G#m B
They're still doing alright
