Biografía:
Probablemente guiados por las enseñanzas de Alesteir Crowley, Peter "Sleazy" Cristopherson (ex Psychic TV), y Jhonn Balance crearon Coil "una mezcla de electricidad y drogas" en los 80. Su primer trabajo fue un disco altamente experimental junto al grupo Zos Kia. Posteriormente, mientras los dos integrantes profundizaban su relación sentimental, también convirtieron a Coil en su proyecto artístico para toda la vida. Literalmente: Coil sólo dejó de existir en noviembre de 2004 con la trágica muerte de Balance
