A patriotic song written by a patriotic man.

I recommend listening to his recording to get the rhythm down.

I've done the hard part, the tabbing so play away and enjoy!

Be sure to rate and comment since this is my first tab.

--Intro-- D C D C D

--Verse #1--
D D C
This country's seen some hard times, lord knows she's deep in debt.
C C D
She's comin' through another depression and for some it ain't over yet.
D
We've all been divided, playin' our own selfish games.
C C
Why does it always take the hard times to get people back together
A
again.

--Chorus--
D A
But I believe in America, I believe in America...
G D A
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
D A
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
G D A
Though I know in America we've gotta right some wrongs.
G D A D (Intro)
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.

--Verse #2--
D
Now if you read the papers, or listen to the news these days.
C C
Sometimes there don't look like there's much hope left for the good ole
D
USA.
D
This country she ain't perfect, but thank God she's still free.
C D A
An' she's gonna make her comeback, yes sir, just you wait and see.

--Chorus (2X)--
D A
An' I believe in America, I believe in America...
G D A
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
D A
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
G D A
Though I know in America we gotta right some wrongs.
G D A D
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.
D A
I believe in America, I believe in America...
G D A
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
D A
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
G D A
though I know in America we gotta right some wrongs.
G D A D
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.

--Outro-- (play chorus chord progression)
