Aura by Anna Nalick
Capo 6th fret

Em
Your favorite color is the color of my aura, aura
C D
Aren’t you gonna take me home
Em
A new religion, switch hits, and pitches, visions
C D
My piss and vinegar cannot condone
Em C D
That I might lose refuge to something so unreal
Em
Steals my two eyes off you
C D
Just wanna be naked and weightless before I lose it too

Em Am
Down to the river
Em Am
Under the water
C D
I found a savior down at the bottom
Em Am
Down to the river
Em Am
Under the water
C D
I found a savior down at the bottom

Em G
Pretty little miss litmus gives kisses on the wrist with the twist of a limp fist
Am D
Stop, no god, I’m no Lolita, I won’t follow the leader
Em G
And I wish I could be pretty like that, pretty like that, pretty like that
D C
But I’ll never be free like that, free like that, free like that
Em G
I sing Jolene and crash, bleed and cry, rally and laugh
C D
I go down to the water, to the water

Em Am
Down to the river
Em Am
Under the water
C D
I found a savior down at the bottom
Em Am
Down to the river
Em Am
Under the water
C D
I found a savior down at the bottom

C D
And there’s freedom in letting go
Em G
Breathing the toxins out of my lungs
C D
And slowly dying I look above to the vital surface
Em G
Keeping my eyes on a higher sun
C D
And if you’re meant to be with me
Em G C D
You’ll be if you see what I see someday
Em G
Won’t we laugh at this when our fist is one, but until then

C D
Down to the river
Em G
Under the water
C D Em G
I found a savior down at the bottom
C D
Down to the river
Em G
Under the water
C D Em G C D
I found a savior down at the bottom

Em
Your favorite color is the color of my aura, aura
