Seaweed

Kid Candy

by Seaweed
Seaweed

Biography:

Hailing from Tacoma, Washington, Seaweed was one of those 1990s bands that combined elements of driving punk and rock sound with emotional vocals and catchy melodies. They were signed to Hollywood at one time, and have released five full-length albums and multiple singles over the span of their career. Seaweed's musical agenda was close to the 90s post hardcore scene, with contemporaries such as. Samiam, Jawbreaker, and tourmates Superchunk and Quicksand.

Seaweed - Kid Candy

Made: 11/07/14

Tuning: standard

b - bending
/ - slide
m - mute
p - pull on

Song starts on this chord, I don't remember it's name, very similar to D chord, happens
a few times in the song:

E|----------------------------------|
B|--3-------------------------------|
G|---2------------------------------|
D|---0------------------------------|
A|---0------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|

If you don't like it, you can also use this powerchord instead:

E|--------------|
B|--------------|
G|------7-------|
D|------7-------|
A|------5-------|
E|--------------|

Then it goes on like this, you'll know how many times to punch the chords, it's also the
CHORUS part:

E|--------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------2-----------------------------|
D|--2---4---6---2-----2-----------------------------|
A|--2---4---6---2-----0-----------------------------|
E|--0---2---4---0-----------------------------------|

And then there is this part, I'm not sure if I made it correct, but I think it is this way:

E|----------------------------------------------------|
B|---9--9--9--7--7--7--9--9--10--10--10-9--9--9--7--7-|
G|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7---7---7--7--7--7--7--7-|
D|---7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7---7---7--7--7--7--7--7-|
A|----------------------------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------|

E|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------3-----------------------------------|
G|---9-9---9-9----2----------------------------------|
D|---9-9---9-9----0----------------------------------|
A|---7-7---7-7----0----------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|

Then the bass goes on, but at the end of each verse the guitar plays once and it plays
just this:

E|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------|
G|---------9-----------------------------------------|
D|------------m--------------------------------------|
A|---------------7-----------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|

Then this, you'll know how many times to punch:

E|--------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------3--------------------|
G|----13----------9-9---9-9-----2-------------------|
D|----m-----------9-9---9-9-----0-------------------|
A|----11----------7-7---7-7-----0-------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------|

Then you play the CHORUS part and this strange part that I don't know if it's correct.
You play the other verses the same way. Basically you repeat everything the same way as
previously. However, once or twice at "it's all that matters" verse ends diffrent and
you play it this way, and again you will know how many times to hit the chords:

E|-------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------3-----------|
G|--------------------------------------2----------|
D|----9---5---11---9-----14---11--9-----0----------|
A|----7---3----9---7-----12----9--7-----0----------|
E|-------------------------------------------------|

After that you play the break part like this:

E|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---3-----------------------------------------------|
G|----2----------------------------------------------|
D|----0----------------------------------------------|
A|----0---5/7-7-7-7----------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|

Or like this:

E|---------------------------------------------------|
B|---3-----------------------------------------------|
G|----2----------------------------------------------|
D|----0---0-0-0-0-0p2-2-2-2-2-2----------------------|
A|----0----------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------|

And after that you repeat all the parts as previously. Sorry for a little mess in this
tab, I hope at least it's correct.
