[INTRO]

Em

[VERSE ONE]

Em G
I am the wolf without a pack
B Em
Banished so long ago
G B
I've survived on another’s kill
Em
And on my shadow home

[CHORUS]

G B Em
All I've learned is that poison will sting
G B Em
No one remembers the names of martyrs or kings
G B Em
No one remembers much of anything
G B Em
That came this way before

[VERSE TWO]

Em G
I am the wolf combing the beach
B Em
Too hungry to shy away
G
The carcass of a leviathan
B Em
Sways gently on the waves

[CHORUS]

G B Em
I hope this shelter is enough to keep me warm
G B Em
Upstairs the heaven's giving birth to winter's storm
G B Em
But I've been dying since the day I was born
G B Em
That much I know is true

[INSTRUMENTAL]

G B Em
G B Em

[VERSE THREE]

Em G
I am the wolf high, wild and free
B Em
A picture on a shelf
G
I burn this house down to the ashes
B Em
A law unto myself

[CHORUS]

G B Em
All I've learned is that poison will sting
G B Em
No one remembers the names of martyrs or kings
G B Em
No one remembers much of anything
G B Em
That came this way before
G B Em G B
That came this way before

[OUTRO]

Em G B
I am the wolf
Em G B
I am the wolf
Em G B Em
I am the wolf
