Clem Tholet - Rhodesians never die

G A G A A D A D A

D Bm
Here's the story of Rhodesia,
G A D
A land both fair and great.
D Bm
On 11th of November
G A
An independent state.
D Bm
This was much against the wishes
G A
Of certain governments,
G D
Whose leaders tried to break us down,
A D
To make us all repent.

G
But we're all Rhodesians
D
And we'll fight through thick and thin.
G
We'll keep our land a free land,
D A
Stop the enemy coming in.
D Bm
We'll keep them north of the Zambezi
G A
'Til that river's running dry.
G D
This mighty land will prosper
A D
For Rhodesians never die.

A D A

D Bm
They can send their men to murder
G A D
And they can shout their words of hate.
D Bm
But the cost of keeping this land free
G A
Can never be too great.
D Bm
For our men and boys are fighting
G A
For the things that they hold dear.
G D
That this land and all its people
A D
Will never disappear.

G
Cos we're all Rhodesians
D
And we'll fight through thick and thin.
G
We'll keep our land a free land,
D A
Stop the enemy coming in.
D Bm
We'll keep them north of the Zambezi
G A
'Til that river's running dry.
G D
This mighty land will prosper
A D
For Rhodesians never die.

A D A D E B E

E C#m
We'll preserve this little nation,
A B E
For our children's children too.
E C#m
For once you're a Rhodesian,
A B
No other land will do
E C#m
We will stand tall in the sunshine,
A B
With the truth upon our side.
A E
And if we have to go alone,
B E
We'll go alone with pride.

A
But we're all Rhodesians
E
And we'll fight through thick and thin.
A
We'll keep our land a free land,
E B
Stop the enemy coming in.
E C#m
We'll keep them north of the Zambezi
A B
'Til that river's running dry.
A E
This mighty land will prosper
B E
For Rhodesians never die.

[Only drum and vocal part]
A
Yes we're all Rhodesians
E
And we'll fight through thick and thin.
A
We'll keep our land a free land,
E B
Stop the enemy coming in.
E C#m
We'll keep them north of the Zambezi
A B
'Til that river's running dry.
A E
This mighty land will prosper
B E
For Rhodesians never die.

A B A B B E B E B

A
Because we're all Rhodesians
E
And we'll fight through thick and thin.
A
We'll keep our land a free land,
E B
Stop the enemy coming in.
E C#m
We'll keep them north of the Zambezi
A B
'Til that river's running dry.
A E
This mighty land will prosper
B E
For Rhodesians never die.
