Clem Cholet - Another Hitler

Gm

Gm
If the world had another Hitler
F
Then where’d they go this time?
D# D Gm
Would they stand aside and let him roll on through?
Gm
Would they keep their smug expressions
F
Or hide trembling in the dark
D# D Gm
While some little country stood and fought for truth?

G
And yet the world attacks my country,
C
For keeping our people free
D G
With all the brave young men that she can find.
C G
There's thirty thousand heroes, stand to fight

The Russian tide
D Em D
And will no one come and fight here by their side?

Gm

Gm F
Well it’s only forty years or so since Britain gave the call
D# D Gm
And without a question we fought by her side.
Gm F
Will the battle that we’re fighting be the one that history marks
D# D Gm
As the day when British honor finally died.

G
And yet the world attacks my country,
C
For keeping our people free
D G
With all the brave young men that she can find.
C G
There's thirty thousand heroes, stand to fight

The Russian tide
D Em D
And will no one come and fight here by their side, by their side

Gm

Gm
And if another Joseph Stalin
F
Or his old big daddy Marx
D# D Gm
Should raise their heads in America the free
Gm
Would those down home-folks stand idle
F
While the hammer and the sickle flew
D# D Gm
Above the flame that burns on liberty.

G D
They forget about the evil
C G
That lies rampant and raging in their homes
D
They forget about the ghettos and the (busing?)
C D
And the Indian people that they trying (to dissolve?)
C G
Is it any wonder that we gag
C D
On the sanctimonious trash they try to feed us
Em D
Through the barrel of a gun?

Gm
Gm
While the nations scrap and scramble
F
For this piece of land we own
D# D Gm
Do they ever stop to think of where it leads
Gm
Cos this battle is not the last one
F
And we're only stepping stones
D# D Gm
And finally democracy will bleed

This is the album version of the song, it slightly differs from the one on youtube
(democracy becomes America, etc...),

I also had trouble getting the lyrics, if you happen to know the correct ones
(especially the ones in brackets where I really guessed),
please comment and feel free to ask if you want to hear this version!

Also the chords in the youtube version are 1 note lower,
you should be able to use the transposer to get the correct one,

but here they are in case:

Fm D# C# C

F A# C F A# F C Dm
