Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band

Biography:

Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American rock musician and singer-songwriter.

After years of local Detroit-area success, recording and performing in the mid-1960s, Seger achieved superstar status by the mid-1970s and continuing through the 1980s with the Silver Bullet Band. A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger was first inspired by James Brown and Elvis Presley.[1] He wrote and recorded songs that dealt with blue-collar themes.

[Intro]

G D Em D x2

[Verse 1]

G D Em Em D
Who's gonna ride that chrome three wheeler?

Who's gonna make that first mistake?
G D Em Em D
Who wants to wear those gypsy leathers,
G D Em Em D
all the way to Fire Lake?

[Verse 2]

G D Em Em D
Who wants to break the news about Uncle Joe?
G D Em Em D
You remember Uncle Joe, he was the one afraid to cut the cake.
G D Em Em D
Who wants to tell poor aunt Sarah,
G D Em Em D
Joe's run off to Fire Lake,
G D Em Em D
Joe's run off to Fire Lake.

[Chorus]

C Bm
Who wants to brave those bronze beauties lying in the sun,
B7 Am
with their long soft hair fallin', flyin' as they run.
C Cmaj7
Oh, they smile so shy and they flirt so well,
G D
and they lay you down so fast, till you look straight up and say,
D D7
oh, Lord, am I really here at last?

[Verse 3]

G D Em Em D
wants to play those eights and aces?
G D Em Em D
Who wants a raise, who needs a stake?
G D Em Em D
Who wants to take that long shot gamble,
G D Em Em D
and head out to Fire Lake?
G D Em Em D
And head out to Fire Lake. (x4, with varying lyrics)
