Jason Eady

Lying To Myself

by Jason Eady
Jason Eady

Biography:

Jason Eady (born 23 January 1975 in Jackson, Mississippi) is an American country music singer and guitarist. He is regarded as an important figure in the subgenre of Texas country music, a form of "classic country" bent upon returning the music to its historic singer-songwriter roots.

On his third and latest album, When the Money’s All Gone, Eady delivers southern gospel stomps, New Orleans soul, and the heartbreaking tide of sin and redemption through his rich baritone voice and a raucous band.

[Verse 1]
A
Well I?m not really ready to be wrong
D A
I?ve been holdin? on to right a little too long
D A
And if I ever face the fact that I?m the one to blame
E A
I might fall too far and not get up again

[Chorus]
D A
I might need forgiven one of these days
E A
But for now I?ll go on livin? this way
D A
Runnin? and fightin? to survive
E A
Lyin? to myself to stay alive

[Break]

I?ve been tellin? all my friends why you?re gone
D A
Except the part about leavin? you alone
D A
All those nights when I was not around

I had my reasons then
E A
Just like I have my reasons now

[Chorus]
D A
I might need forgiven one of these days
E A
But for now I?ll go on livin? this way
D A
Runnin? and fightin? to survive
E A
Lyin? to myself to stay alive

[Break]

I might need forgiven one of these days
