Someone Elses Problem

by Five Iron Frenzy
Five Iron Frenzy

Biography:

Five Iron Frenzy (also known as Five Iron or FIF) is a Christian ska band formed in Denver, Colorado in 1995 and disbanded in 2003. In 2011, the band reunited and in 2013, they released the album Engine of a Million Plots. Their signature sound is a mix of rock and ska while their lyrics mix socially-conscious satire and their Christian faith.

Five Iron Frenzy started as a local side-project of Reese, Keith, Micah, and Scott's band Exhumator. Although the original intent was for the band to stay local and help support the local music scene

I'm not going to lie, this was really difficult to figure out (Sonny played a lot of chords not in the song's
key, Bb Major). This is my best attempt that I checked multiple times agains the song itself--enjoy track #5
of EOMP!

Intro:

Cm F Ab Cm F (slide out)

Verse 1:
Cm
You're cutting some corners,

Leave nothing for mourners,
F
Leave nothing for the people,
Ab Cm
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

In all those other places.

Just don't look at their faces,
F
And you can believe,
Bb Eb
That they don't bleed,
Cm
Like you.

Chorus:

You want to close your eyes,
F
You want to make believe-
Ab Eb
This tangled web you weave,
Cm
Is nowhere near the place you sleep,
F
While other people's lives are cheap,
Ab Eb Cm F Ab Cm F Ab Cm
And all of this someone else's problem.

Verse 2:

And here lies the problem,

It's not that you rob them-
F
Just look the other way.
Ab Cm
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Just make some more excuses.

Your life stems from abuses,
F
Of other people's lives
Bb Eb Cm
You'll never have to see.

Chorus:

You want to close your eyes,
F
You want to make believe-
Ab Eb
This tangled web you weave,
Cm
Is nowhere near the place you sleep,
F
While other people's lives are cheap,
Ab Eb Cm
And all of this someone else's problem.

Outro:

F Ab Eb Gb

end on Eb
