Nashville Parthenon

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone

Biography:

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone (CFTPA) was the beats-and-keys solo project of singer, songwriter and Chicago resident, Owen Ashworth. Drawing heavy influence from traditional Americana as well as 80's synth pop and commercial hip hop, the music of CFTPA is a curious mix of austere character studies and playful electronic programming.

C Am
if you ever make it back to Nashville
C Am
remember you have still got a friend
C Am
I'll meet you at the Parthenon
C Am
that's the place we always went
C Am
it's been so dull since you left Nashville
C Am
I've read the same books again & again
C Am
it makes me wish I wasn't bashful
C Am
when it comes to other men
F G
but if I could have my way

Darling you'd come home

C Am x4

C Am
remember when you moved to Nashville
C Am
& the first time that we kissed
C Am
remember when your mother found us
C Am
remember that you're sorely missed
C Am
& when you make it back to Nashville
C Am
we'll forget all of your sins
C Am
& I still buy two pairs of everything
C Am
so when you come home you & I'll be twins
F G
because if I could have my way

I wouldn't be alone finish on C
