[Intro]
A G D 2x

[Verse 1]
A G D
Lately baby we've been lettin' pride get in the way
A G D
Sayin' things that we don't mean, meanin' what we don't say
A G D
Things have been so crazy that we lost our peace of mind
A G D
But I think I know the perfect place to leave it all behind

[Chorus]
A G
They got sunshine every mornin'
D
They got moonshine every night
A G D
They got sweet love flowin' like a river off the mountainside
A G
We're gonna kiss a little, fish a little
D
Baby, we won't have a care
A G
Plant our feet in the soft green grass
D
Smack dab, way out, back in the middle of nowhere
A G D 1x
D
Said the middle of nowhere A G D 1x

[Verse 2]
A G D
Life can get away sometimes before you know it's gone
A G D
That solid ground can turn out to be sand you're standin' on

We need a little time to find the fire we once knew
A G D
Girl, and paradise is waitin' right down Highway 62

[Chorus]
A G
They got sunshine every mornin'
D
They got moonshine every night
A G D
They got sweet love flowin' like a river off the mountainside
