by Brian McComas
Brian McComas

Biography:

McComas was born in Bethesda, Maryland; his family moved to Harrison, Arkansas when he was four years old. At age sixteen, he attended a Paul Overstreet concert; while at the concert, Overstreet gave McComas the address of his publishing company. McComas later attended college, but soon dropped out to move to Nashville, Tennessee.

Sixteen Again - Brian McComas

Fadd9 Cadd9 Fadd9 Cadd9
If we were sixteen again we'd still be playing baseball
Fadd9 Cadd9 Am G
Mixing Big Red and Red Man on the left side of the infield
Fadd9 Cadd9 Fadd9 Cadd9
And both D'Amico sisters would be sitting in the bleachers
Fadd9 Cadd9 Am G
And we'd ask them to the movies instead of acting like two big deals
F G Cadd9
My friend if we were sixteen again

Fadd9 Cadd9 Fadd9 Cadd9
If we were sixteen again I'd suggest we study harder
Fadd9 Cadd9 Am G
Maybe be a little smarter and not so hell bent
Fadd9 Cadd9 Fadd9 Cadd9
Drink a few more Sun Drops leave the Mad Dog to the winos
Fadd9 Cadd9 Am G
Ride around with our shirts off, man, we looked good back then
F G Am C/B
Old friend if we were sixteen again
F Am C/B
If we were sixteen again

Bridge:
F G C
I guess we thought we'd live forever
C/B Am F
Thought we'd always be together
G
And things would never change
C
Oh,no

Cadd9
If we were sixteen again well I'd have stood up to you
Cadd9 Am G
Told you you weren't driving, took your keys and drove you home
Cadd9
And I'd tell you that I loved you like you were my own brother
Cadd9 Am G
And I'd be talking to you now instead of this headstone
F G Am C/B
Old friend if we were sixteen again
F Am C/B
If we were sixteen again
