(these lyrics could be somewhat off, but they're mostly right)
G C
The cops shine on down beacon street
G C
Their guns unused you know their songs incomplete
Dm C Bb F
But I'm all washed up you know I'm dead on my feet
C G F C
As midnight turns to morning
G C
It's sirens sound out through the rain
G C
My sort turns slow like a weather vain
Dm C Bb F
My heart holds a sorrow that I just can't explain
C G F C
As midnight turns to morning
C G F C
As midnight turns to morning

Am G
I'd sleep if I could cause I should but I cant
Eb Bb C
I wear my weary disguise on my head like a hat
F
Keep the man off my back for awhile

Same as before:

A black dog howls at the city gate
The pale moon's mother makes me hesitate
The cold brown calls you know I just cannot wait

As midnight turns to morning
As midnight turns to morning
As midnight turns to morning

Am G
I'd sleep if I could cause I should but I cant
Eb Bb C
I wear my weary disguise on my head like a hat
F
Keep the man off my back for awhile

C F Am
Beware the man who doesn't say what he means
Cm Gm Bb
For he means just what he says when he says what he cannot say
On a day like today (day like today)
To meet the mission rules
Its comin soon
