Intro:
D G
D G
D D D D

D F#m A D F#m A
Yeah when I was only seven-teen I could hear the angels whispering
G D F#m A
So I drove into the woods and wandered aimlessly about
G D A
Until I heard my mother shouting through the fog
D F#m A
It turned out to be the howling of a dog
G D F#m A
Or a wolf to be exact the sound sent shivers down my back
G D A
but I was drawn into the pack and before long
D F#m A
They allowed me to join in and sing their song
G D F#m A
So from the cliffs and highest hill yeah we would gladly get our fill
G D A
howling endlessly and shrilly at the dawn
D F#m A
And I lost the taste for judging right from wrong
G D F#m A
For my flesh had turned to fur yeah and my thoughts they surely were
G D A
turned to instinct and obedience to God

Chorus:
G D F#m A
You can wear your fur like a river on fire
G D F#m A
But you better be sure if you're making God a liar
G D F#m A
I'm a rattlesnake babe I'm like fuel on fire
G D F#m A
So if you're gonna get made don't be afraid of what you've learned

Repeat with Verses and Chorus

Ending
D G D G (and fade out)
