Split Enz

Time For A Change

by Split Enz
Split Enz

Biography:

Split Enz was one of the most successful and longest running bands ever to emerge from New Zealand. Founded in 1972 by Tim Finn and Phil Judd, and with a variety of other members during its existence, eight songs Split Enz were listed in the APRA Top 100 New Zealand Songs of All Time, more than any other band. The band played its final show on 4 December 1984 in Auckland. One-off reunions took place subsequently, with the band reuniting in 1993 for its twentieth anniversary tour and once more for a tour in 2006.

Esus2 C#m
You act as though you were a blind man who's crying
Amaj7 E F#
Crying about, all the virgins that are dying
Amaj7 A/C# G#/B#
And your habitual dreams you know, seems you need more sleep
F#sus2 E6 A/C# G#/B#
But like a parrot in a flaming tree, I know it's pretty hard to see
C#m Amaj7 E/G# F#
And I'm beginning to wonder if it's time for a change
B/D# G#/B# A A7
But still you try, like a fat boy, Dancing Gershwin's blues
G#/B# A/C# B/D# C#/E# F#sus2
But you'd rather, sit at home and watch the news
Amaj7 Am E F#
And I'm begining to wonder if it's time for a change
E E/D E/C# Amaj7
I'm beginning to wonder if it's time for a change
E/B | F#/A#
