[Verse 1]
A D A
I look to see, the wildflowers blooming,
E
And wonder why, they seem so plain.
D A
The springtime rides, the brown hills over,
E
Young birds sing, in a silver rain.

[Chorus]
C#m D A
I think of you, as the night rolls by,
E
You're on my mind, the whole day through.
D A
Far away, in a lonesome city,
E D A
All the time you're gone, I think of you.

[Verse 2]
D A
And when my world, has turned to sunlight,
E
And the dust clouds stand, in a summer sky.
D A
I number all, the climbing roses,
E
Watch to see, the milkweed fly.

[Chorus]

C#m D A
I think of you, as the night rolls by,
E
You're on my mind, the whole day through.
D A
Far away, in a lonesome city,
E D A
All the time you're gone, I think of you.

[Verse 3]
A D A
And when I hear, the soft wind moaning,
E
Like an angel's voice, from a far-off shore.
D A
My days slip by, like light snow falling,
E
All the dry brown leaves, blown by my door.

[Chorus]

C#m D A
I think of you, as the night rolls by,
E
You're on my mind, the whole day through.
C D A
Far away, in a lonesome city,
E D A
All the time you're gone, I think of you.

[Chorus]

A D A
I think of you, as the night rolls by,
E
You're on my mind, the whole day through.
D A
Far away, in a lonesome city,
E D A
All the time you're gone, I think of you.
