[Verse 1]
C D
Oh, way out in Reno, Nevada,
C
Where romances bloom and fade,
F
A great Philadelphia lawyer
G C
Fell in love with a Hollywood maid.

[Verse 2]
Am G
Oh, come, love, and we will wander
C
Down where the lights are so bright;
F
I'll win you a divorce from your husband
D C
And we can get married tonight.

[Verse 3]
A G
Wild Bill was a gun-totin' cowboy,
C
Six notches were carved on his gun;
F
And all the boys around Reno
Em D C
Left Wild Bill's maiden alone.

[Verse 4]
G
One night when Bill was returning
C
Out from the desert so cold,
F
He dreamed of his Hollywood sweetheart
D C
Her love was as lasting as gold.

[Verse 5]
G
Well, Bill looked up in the moonlight,
C
Two shadows he saw on the shade;
Bm F
'Twas the great Philadelphia lawyer
D C
Making love to his Hollywood maid.

[Verse 6]
Bm G
Oh, your hands are so soft and so lovely,
C
Your form is so rare and divine;
F
Come away with me to the city
Bm C
And leave this wild cowboy behind.

[Verse 7]
A G
Well, way back in old Pennsylvania,
D C
The stars they are shining so bright,
F
But there's one less Philadelphia lawyer
C
In old Pennsylvania tonight.
