...I LIKE CHINESE... by Monty Python
--------------------................

*from 'Monty Python Sings' (1989)*

Intro: (Spoken)

G Adim D
The world today seems absolutely crackers,
G Adim D
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high.
G
There are fools and idiots sitting on the trigger;
A7 D
It's depressing and it's senseless and that's why...

Verse 1:

G A7 D7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese; they only come up to your knees.
G E7 A7 D7
Yet they're always friendly, and they're ready to please.

Verse 2:

G A7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese,
D7
There's nine hundred million of them in the world today;
G E7 A7 D7
You'd better learn to like them, that what's I say!

Chorus 1:

G A7 D7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese; they come from a long way overseas.
G E7 A7 D7
But they're cute and they're cuddly and they're ready to please.

Verse 3:

G A7
I like Chinese food; the waiters, never are rude.
D7
Think of the many things, they've done to impress;
G E7 A7 D7
There's Maoism, Taoism, I Ching, and Chess.

Chorus 2:

G A7 D7
So I like Chinese, I like Chinese, I like their tiny little trees.
G E7 A7 D7
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their Yin and Yang-ese.

Verse 4:

G A7
I like Chinese thought, the wisdom that Confucius taught.
D7
If Darwin is anything to shout about;
G E7 A7 D7
The Chinese will sur-vive us all, with-out any doubt.

Chorus 3:

G A7 D7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese; they only come up to your knees.
G E7 A7 D7
Yet they're wise and they're witty, and they're ready to please.

Chorus 4:

G A7 D7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese; their food is guaranteed to please.
G E7 A7 D7
A fourteen, a seven, a nine and ly-chees.

Chorus 5:

G A7 D7
So I like Chinese, I like Chinese; I like their tiny little trees.
G E7 A7 D7
Their Zen, their ping-pong, their Yin and Yang-ese.

Chorus 6:

G A7
I like Chinese, I like Chinese...
