Levellers

Come On

by Levellers
Levellers

Biography:

Levellers is a popular English rock band influenced by punk and traditional English music. The band is based in Brighton, England, where they were founded in 1988. There are several stories regarding how they got their name; from the Levellers, a radically democratic faction of Oliver Cromwell's New Model Army; as a reference to "The Level", a flat open space near where members of the band used to live in Brighton; or simply, according to guitarist, Simon Friend, a word they chose from a dictionary.

Lyrics are:

its an open invitation, everybody's free to come
try to solve this situation, the four corners have been undone
and its no mystery, just a thin line in the sand
never fails to frighten me, when you don't understand

come on, come on, come on

come and share a smoke with me, and we'll try to make a plan
its all so tense you see, in every nation every land
and its no mystery, man made life rough for some
it never fails to frighten me, these things can't be undone

come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on,

now you hold your breath and wait, see how it turns out in the end
you know its hard to keep you patiance, you know the message has been sent
and its no mystery, every nation every land
open up your eyes and see, before it all gets out of hand

come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on,

come on, come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on, come on, come on and see, come on and see the love
come on,

End with Em
