Levellers

Sail Away

by Levellers
Levellers

Biography:

Levellers is a popular English rock band influenced by punk and traditional English music. The band is based in Brighton, England, where they were founded in 1988. There are several stories regarding how they got their name; from the Levellers, a radically democratic faction of Oliver Cromwell's New Model Army; as a reference to "The Level", a flat open space near where members of the band used to live in Brighton; or simply, according to guitarist, Simon Friend, a word they chose from a dictionary.

This is the short 'sail away' on the mouth to mouth album and is the 11th
track. It is extremely easy to play because it only has three chords. If
you have any suggestions, corrections then mail me at

1st verse
*********

A
Down the hill I wander

Just to watch the world go by.
D
Passers-by pass under
A
Underneath the clear blue sky.
E
No-one seems to notice
D A
No-one seems to even wonder why.

2nd verse
*********
(same chords as first verse)

And as I sit I sail away
It is as if I broke the line
'Coz nothing really matters
Nothing matters all the time
But no-one seems to notice
No-one seems to even wonder why.

End on A
