This isnt how Kate plays it, but this is a very simplified version that does fit with
the song and the recording. She uses lots of different tunings whereas I just play it in
Standard. To play it in the same key as the recording, put a capo on 1st fret. She often
changes the key when playing live depending on how shes feeling.
This is one of my first tabs, go easy

intro- C
C
Hold on steady and strong,
C G
Here's the dawn coming on won't be long,
F G Am
Then the sun will come shining through,
F G C
To show me the place I once new.

Am
Fare thee well,
G C
Fare thee well and adieu,
G
Fare thee well,
Am G
With this song I'll be gone,
F
Fare thee well.

The old man's here and he's fine,
He has come here from years down the line,
He has come to bring peace to all times for the few,
He has come to bring life to the new.

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well and adieu,
Fare thee well,
With this song I'll be gone,
Fare thee well.

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well and adieu,
Fare thee well,
With this song I'll be gone,
Fare thee well.

Hold on steady and strong,
Here's the dawn coming on won't be long,
Oh its easy to stand in the light with pain,
In the light I will ever remain.

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well and adieu,
Fare thee well,
With this song I'll be gone,
Fare thee well.

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well and adieu,
Fare thee well,
With this song I'll be gone,
Fare thee well.

Enjoy!
