[Verse]
G Em
Maybe you were right when you said I lost my way
C G
I'd gone astray, I'm here to stay.
G Em
Maybe I was lying when I told you I was fine
C G
That I didn't mind, the shifting line
G Em
All these broken clocks met their deaths
C G
I measured time, in Steady breaths
G Em C G
The seconds roll on by so carelessly no time to stop talk to me

Would you open up that door and let me in

[Verse]

You said to take the world from off your back
C G
What good's a train, without a track
G Em
I told you that the trains were all but dead
C G
I'd rather walk, the road instead

[Verse]

Maybe you were right saying I had too much faith
C G
Just a rock, out in outer-space

Put it all together and maybe I might see
C G
This world was never, never made for me
