[Verse]

A E A A E D
Once we were unobstructed, innocent at heart
A E F# D E A
This world will slow confuse you, picking you apart
A E A A E D
You know what we survive on just by knowing what you need
A E F# D E A
You know hope and understanding is all we need to breathe

[Chorus]

F# E A F# E D
Come on lay it down son, feel their arms
A E F# D E A
Use a moral compass. I know who you are

[Verse]

A E A A E D
So many written guidelines. The elders set in ways
A E F# D E A
Wishful wanting of simple treasures. Not an angry cage
A E A A E D
They will teach you to be fearful of all foreign to you
A E F#
But you were born with to panoramic views
D E A
In any shoes you choose

[Chorus]

F# E A F# E D
So come on lay it down son, feel their arms
A E F# D E A
Use a moral compass. If its feels wrong, it´s wrong

[Verse]

A E A A E D
Those that we depend on to survive these days
A E F# D E A
Monotheist, ancient grievance. Perpetuating hate
A E A
They will hand down their agendas
A E D
And they´ll train you when to care
A E F#
When all you wanted was to please them
D E A
As long as they were there

[Chorus]

F# E A F# E D
Come on lay it down son, feel their arms
A E F# D E A
Use your moral compass if it feels wrong

[Code]

F# E A
Lay it down son
F# E D
Hold on heart
A E F# D E A
Always use your moral compass if it feels wrong
A E F#
Always use your moral compass
D E A
I know who you are
