G Am
I hear your voice in every corridor
D7 G D/F#
See your face in every picture frame
Em A7 Am7
I feel your eyes in every starry sky
Cmaj7 G
Lover, am I coming home again

[Verse]
G Am
Now am I humble who once was proud
D7 G D/F#
Now am I silent who once was loud
Em A7 Am7
Now am I waiting for the sound of your saying
Cmaj7 G
Lover am I coming home again

[Chorus]
G Bm7 Em
When you’re gone the sun don’t shine
Em/D Cmaj7
Light a light, light a light for me
D
Bring me back home again

[Verse]
G Am7
And how we loved til the years were days
D7 G D/F#
How we laughed all our tears away
Em A7 Am7
And now the time begins to fade
Cmaj7 G
Lover am I coming home again

[Verse]
G Am
There’s a wisdom in the teaching of the old familiar songs
D7 G D/F#
And sorrow in repeating all the old familiar wrongs
Em A7 Am7
And a lesson to be learned though I’ve known all along
Cmaj7 G
Lover am I coming home again

[Chorus]
D/F# Cmaj7
Light a light, light a light for me
Em Em/D Am
Light a light, light a light for me
Em Em/D Cmaj7
Light a light, light a light for me
D7
Bring me back home again
G D/F# Em Cmaj7 Gmaj7
Bring me back home again
