Intro: A F#m D x2

A
It's been a long day living with this
F#m D
It's been a long time since I felt so sick
A
I took a long walk straight back home
F#m D
I could've walked back to San Francisco
A
I used to long for time alone
F#m D
I used to long for a place of my own
A
And I'm losing faith in everything
F#m D
I'm lost, so lost, I'm lost at sea, you see

A F#m D x2

A
I used to long for broken bones
F#m D
I used to long for a casket to call my own
A
I never had a problem facing fear
F#m D
But I'm done, over and done, my dear, and

F#m D
Oh mercy me
A E
God bless catastrophe
F#m D
There's no way in hell
A E
We'll ever live to see through this so
F#m E D
Drive yourself insane tonight
F#m E D
It's not that far away and
F#m E D A
I just filled up your tank earlier today

E A D
(Yeah!)

( C# B A )
[This quick progression is there on the album, but I'd skip it in an open-chord acoustic
and just hold the D a bit longer or something.]

[Again, this quick progression isn't *really* necessary. You can just stick to the D
a wee bit and end with an A.]
