[Intro]
D A E x4

[Verse 1]
D F#m E
I miss my mother, the smell of rain
D F#m E
There's a girl I love back home, she shares my pain
D F#m E
I just get so lonely, still I'm to blame
D F#m E A
'Cause the life that chose me doesn't know my name, ooh

D A E (A)

[Verse 2]
D F#m E
The signs I pass by, 'did Jesus set you free?'
D F#m E
He just helped me realize what kind of country this must be
D F#m E
And I made some friends in Arizona but I doubt they'd recognize my face
Bm D
When the whisky leaves their veins and I'm just a memory they'd replace

Chorus
E F#m D
Seattle seems so long ago and you're so far away
E F#m D
I've forgotten where my home is and I'm still counting down the days
E F#m D A
It's raining back in London town, somewhere in my brain
E F#m D (ring out)
Is a little piece of my tired mind, it'll never be the same

D A E (A)

[Verse 3]
D F#m E
Somedays I don't feel like opening my eyes
D F#m E
Give me a makeshift backseat bed in this desert life
D F#m E
Nashville feels more like home to me and that's alright
Bm A D
Broadway's not the same in broad day light

[Chorus]
E F#m D
Seattle seems so long ago and you're so far away
E F#m D
I've forgotten where my home is and I'm still counting down the days
E F#m D A
It's raining back in London town, somewhere in my brain
E F#m D
Is a little piece of my tired mind, it'll never be the same

Bm F#m E (D)

[C-part]
Bm
Give me just a few more hours
F#m E Bm
To gather up my thoughts into the corners of my mind, lift off again
D
'Cause I've been drinking way too much
F#m E Bm
That don't make a change, it's just a way for me to numb these lonely days

[Chorus] (play every chord just one and let it ring out)
E F#m D
Seattle seems so long ago and you're so far away
E F#m D
I've forgotten where my home is and I'm still counting down the days
E F#m D A
It's raining back in London town, somewhere in my brain
E F#m D F#m F#m (strum each note)
Is a little piece of my tired mind, it'll never be the same
