[Verse]
Dm F C A#
Well I suppose it's time I did something with my life
Dm F C A#
I spent the last 5 years telling myself that everything will work out fine
Dm F
And it won't be long before my friends agree
C A#
They're sick of spending all their fucking money on me.
Dm F
All these excuses don't prove that I'm useless
C G A# G D C
Because deep down the truth is I'm just too lazy to try

Dm F C A#
There's a place I've found that I can call my home
Dm F C A#
Being pennyless and out of luck with a guitar and a microphone
Dm F C A#
And even though it appears that we've been making progress
Dm F C A#
I still fear that we've done nothing but regress

[Chorus]
Gm A# Dm C
The surroundings that I hate so much have grown to feel like home
Gm A# Dm C
And the people I've spent most my life with, it seems I've never known
Gm A# Dm C
And I've forgotten all the words to every song I used to love
Gm A# Dm C A# G D C
I'm not quite sure how comfortable I am, with growing up.

[Verse]
Dm F
Old friends become acquaintances
C A#
And all that's left are places
Dm F C A#
And memories of late night conversations.
Dm F
About growing up and staying close
C A#
And never giving up on those
Dm F C A#
Dreams that we all know won't materialise

[Chorus]
Gm A# Dm C
The surroundings that I hate so much have grown to feel like home
Gm A# Dm C
And the people I've spent most my life with, it seems I've never known
Gm A# Dm C
And I've forgotten all the words to every song I used to love
Gm A# Dm C A# Gm Dm C
I'm not quite sure how comfortable I am, with growing up.
A# Gm Dm C
With growing up.
