Biography:

Deaf Havana are an English alt rock quartet from King's Lynn in the UK. The band was formed in 2005 at the King's Lynn campus of The College of West Anglia. The band's early releases along with constant touring developed a strong fan base in the UK music scene. Deaf Havana - Cassiopeia

Difficulty : Novice

Tuning (full step down) : D G C F A D
I write it on acoustic but you can play it with an electric guitar if you want.
If you dont want to change your entire tuning you can just transpose the tab 2 step up !

IMPORTANT : I write the name of the chords as usual, like if was in "standard" tuning, like that you dont
have to convert the name of the notes if you play "standard"
I use powerchords to make all more simple, I'll write all the details here :

REMARK : If you play this while listening the song and don't tune your guitar a full step down, it will
sound false (I would have warned you !)
Chords :

[Verse 1]
(palm mute)

G# F#
I blacked out ‘til the morning broke,
G# F#
I was swallowing glass and inhaling smoke,
E F# E F#
I lost my mind in a haze of cobbled streets and broken windows.
G# F# G# F#
I managed to get away, for a minute or two, to catch my breath,
E F# E F#
just long enough to catch sight of a man with a broken nose and a bandaged leg,
G# F# G# F#
sleeping silently in a photo booth on the road where I caught a cab,
E F# E F#
back through the heart of the tourist district and into our rundown, rented pad.

[Pre-Verse 2]
(normal playing)

[Verse 2]
(palm mute)
G# F#
I met a strange girl from Brazil,
G# F# E F#
she made me laugh for an hour or two and it took me back to the festival
E F#
where I was sure that I was gonna go (die).
G# F# G# F#
But then I bought a beer from a nice bar lady with the kindest eyes that I’d ever seen,
E F# E F#
she said "...take a water too honey, it’s warm outside, we don’t want you dying do we..."

[Chorus] x2
(normal playing)
E G# F#
Oh Berlin my love, I’ve got you underneath my skin.
E G# F#
In the early hours of the morning, I can’t help but let you win.

[Verse 3]
(palm mute)
G# F# G# F#
I was there talking to you about some of the shit they’d put you through,
E F# E F#
and I knew that this could be my chance to get you closer.
G# F#
So I met you round the back, away from the others,
G# F# E
I was trying to fight off my brother but I knew,
F# E F#
I knew that you didn’t have eyes for me...

[Chorus]
(normal playing)
E G# F#
Oh Berlin my love, I’ve got you underneath my skin.
E G# F#
In the early hours of the morning, I can’t help but let you win.

Oh Berlin my love, I’ve got you underneath my skin.
E G# F# E
In the early hours of the morning, I can’t help but let you win, let you win.

I’ve got a fire and it burns in me, it takes me back to the very day I was with you there,
