David Francey - Rain

CAPO: 3rd Fret

INTRO: F C F C

F C F C
Clouds gather and the rain falls
F C G C
And it fills the well that feeds us all
F C F C
And I'm loath to complain
F C G C
But it's been years of hard rain

F C F C
And the heart knows its own mind
F C G C
And the heart sees and the heart's blind
F C F C
And the heart breaks like a window pane
F C G C
Until it can't stop all the hard rain

CHORUS:
F C F C
Rain___, Rain__
Am G C
Rain___, Rain__
F C F C
Rain___, Rain__
Am G C
Rain___, Rain__

INSTRUMENTAL: C - Mandolin Break, Plink, Plink, Plink -

F C F C
The heart sings its own song
F C G C
And love's here, then love's gone
F C F C
And is it love, if you love in vain?
F C G C
Is the sound of love just a hard rain?

F C F C
Love rights its own wrongs
F C G C
And lights the way and leads us on
F C F C
And the sun'll shine in the sky again
F C G C
On the other side of this hard rain

CHORUS:
F C F C
Rain___, Rain__
Am G C
Rain___, Rain__
F C F C
Rain___, Rain__
Am G C
Rain___, Rain__

OUTRO: C - More Mandolin Plink, Plink, Plink -
