David Francey - Badlands

CAPO: 3rd Fret

INTRO: C

G
Here I am in my own Badlands
C F C G
Here I wait and here I stand
C F C G
Went searching for the distant past
F C
Found three red rocks and a piece of glass
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands

G F
And the redstone, ironstone scoured land
C
Rock of ages in coloured bands
F C G
And I climbed to the top, to the top of the hill
F C
If I hadn't come down I'd be climbing still
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands

G C
And the Red Deer River runs muddy and brown
F C G
Choked by the dust of the hills around
C F C G
And the sun in the sky standing still
F C
And the river's rolling and it always will
G
Through my own Badlands
F C
Through my own Badlands
G
Through my own Badlands
F C
Through my own Badlands

F C G
You can count the layers of the past and gone
F C
You can smell the rain of the coming storm
F C G
Inside my head is just the same
F C
It's cracked and dry and needing rain
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands
G
In my own Badlands
F C
In my own Badlands

INSTRUMENTAL: C G F C G F C
